The Leeds United boss has been speaking about his latest team selection.

Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler has been speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post about three of the players he will be keeping a particularly close eye on this evening.

Leeds take on Eintracht Frankfurt in their latest pre-season fixture and their boss has explained that he will be utilising the same formation as he did in the recent match against York City but he will be switching some players’ positions.

Rosler will know how important next season is and he will want to hit the ground running, but in order to do that he will have to ensure he is playing people where they will be most effective.

“I want to see one or two players in different positions,” Rosler told the YEP. “Scott Wootton will play at right-back. Casper (Sloth) will play and (Gaetano) Berardi will play left-back.

Considering how effective Wootton and Berardi were last season in those positions, that is no surprise, but Sloth is a different proposition having rarely featured under former manager Neil Redfearn.

The Danish midfielder made just 14 appearances, many from the bench, and in some ways this summer could be make-or-break for the 23-year-old.

It is clear Rosler wants to see what all the players he has inherited can do and tonight’s fixture is another chance to do that.
