Is Roberto Soldado set to be next out the door at Tottenham?
Tottenham Hotspur are on a mission to shift unwanted players from their squad this summer, announcing the transfer of Benjamin Stambouli to PSG.
The Fenchman follows Etienne Capoue, Paulinho, and Younes Kaboul out of the door, and there could be more to follow.
Striker Roberto Soldado sent a message to the recently departed pair of Stambouli and Kaboul earlier today, via Twitter, but perhaps did not elicit the responses he would have wished for.
Fans responded to his post, telling him he would be the next player out of the Tottenham exit door.
It was a quite unthinkable return from a player the club had spent £25 million on signing from Valencia in 2013, arriving as a Spanish international, although he has since lost his place in the side.
He has scored just seven league goals in two season for Spurs, and 16 in 76 matches in all competitions.
Suggestions of an exit is unlikely to come as a surprise to the striker, with The Guardian reporting earlier this month that he is angling for a return to Spain, and has even told the club hierarchy that he wants to move on.
