Tottenham prospect Josh Onomah has signed a new contract with the club.
Onomah is considered one of the best prospects in Tottenham’s impressive academy, and it was confirmed on the official club website that he has signed a new contract.
The Enfield-born midfielder, 18, made his first-team debut for the Lilywhites last term, making an appearance against Burnley in the FA Cup. He also featured in both of Spurs’s post-season friendlies, and is set to continue his profession in Mauricio Pochettino’s this coming campaign.
The talented youngster is a England youth international, having been capped at Under-17 and Under-18 level, and fans are hoping to see him make the step up to senior level in the coming years.
With Pochettino at the helm of Tottenham’s first-team, the chances of Onomah making the step up to senior level should be high, and being tied down to a new deal suggests that the Argentine has big plans for him in the future.
The deal was met with praise when it was formally announced, with Tottenham fans taking to Twitter to show their delight at the confirmation of the contract extension.

Onomah can't be that far from the first team. Especially given our lack of options in advanced attacking position. Loan or play in cups?— Alan (@hotspur423) July 21, 2015
Great having Winks and Onomah signing extensions— Harry (@H4rry_) July 21, 2015
