Rangers confirmed the arrival of two more new signings on their official website on Monday, with Wigan Athletic duo James Tavernier and Martyn Waghorn joining the club.
Right back Tavernier, 23, spent the second half of last season on loan at Bristol City before returning to relegated Wigan, but has brought an end to his time at the DW Stadium by penning a three-year contract to become Rangers' new right back following the departures of Sebastien Faure and Richard Foster.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old striker Waghorn - formerly of Sunderland - also followed Tavernier to Glasgow, signing a deal until 2018 to become Rangers' new striker ahead of the new Scottish Championship season.
Manager Mark Warburton has now brought in six first team additions since his arrival as boss, with Tavernier and Waghorn joining Wes Foderingham, Rob Kiernan, Danny Wilson and Andy Halliday at Ibrox.
With what looks like a strong side being build by Warburton, fans are understandably excited about the latest two signings, and took to Twitter to discuss the deals.
Almost all Rangers fans are delighted with the new arrivals, suggesting that Rangers are doing well to sign established Football League players, though Jason Holt and Stevie May were touted as possible targets by supporters, who believe Rangers are building an impressive side this summer...
Here are some of the reactions from Rangers fans on Twitter after Tavernier and Waghorn completed their moves to Ibrox...
After sealing deals with Waghorn & Tavernier I think Rangers just need to seal Jason Holt then we should be good. but May would be good too— Josh Halliday (@JoshHalliday94) July 20, 2015
Love the attitude @James_Tavernier shows in he's interview, realises straight away how big of a club we are and what's needed— The Famous (@TheFamousRFC) July 20, 2015
Just seen @James_Tavernier interview, really impressed. Good footballing brain and likes to get on the ball. Massive step up from Foster— Mark McCreadie (@Creads_84) July 20, 2015
Pretty sure Waghorn has featured on the wings as well as up front throughout his career. Wouldn't worry too much about his goals return.— Greg Milne (@Greg_1872) July 20, 2015
Waghorn has done it in the Championship down south, I reckon we will get 20+ goals from him in 2015-16. #WATP— Derek Manderson (@DelM84) July 20, 2015
Waghorn and Tavernier are superb signings. Two players that I'm sure MW knows plenty about. An exciting time to be a Bear.— Smiffy© (@Smiffy54AC) July 20, 2015
