A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Liverpool Football Club this Tuesday morning.
With Liverpool's incomings almost concluded, the attention in the transfer market turns to offloading a few players, with striker Rickie Lambert expected to leave this summer.
The Birmingham Mail is reporting the striker - who only signed for his boyhood club last summer, scoring only three goals since his arrival - could join West Bromwich Albion this week for a fee of around £3 million.
However, the Daily Mirror says that it's not just the Baggies who are interested in the forward and that newly-promoted Norwich City are among those who would like to sign him, claiming that the Canaries are the club who are in pole position to land the 33-year-old.
Christian Benteke's £32.5 million move to Merseyside is expected to go through imminently with the Belgian's medical set to continue today, with the Daily Mail reporting the move could be finalised as early as this evening.
He spoke of his relief at managing to get over that first hurdle as a Reds striker, and is quoted in the Liverpool Echo, saying: “It feels great. To get your first goal for a new club obviously helps you settle in and I thought the lads played fantastic.
“As you can imagine as a striker going to a new club it's so important to get the first goal and whether it’s a friendly or a competitive match doesn’t really matter.
“But now that I’m off the mark I can relax a bit and hopefully more goals will follow."
