Newcastle forward Haris Vuckic has taken to Twitter to suggest that new Rangers signing James Tavernier is a 'great player'.
Vuckic, 22, spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers, and became an instant hero at Ibrox, scoring eight goals in 17 games before heading back to parent club Newcastle earlier this summer.
Many Rangers fans would love to see the Slovenian back in Glasgow, but for now, they have seen one of his former team-mates arrive on Monday.
Right back Tavernier - who played alongside Vuckic for both Newcastle and Rotherham United - has signed a three-year contract at Ibrox, having completed a move from Wigan Athletic on Monday evening.
Now, Vuckic has used his Twitter account to not only congratulate his 'friend' Tavernier, but also tell Rangers fans that they have signed a great player.
How will Rangers' defence look next season?
New manager Mark Warburton has clearly prioritised his defence first, with four new arrivals across the back line, including in goal.
Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham will start between the sticks, with Tavernier taking up his usual role at right full back, whilst fellow new arrivals Rob Kiernan and Danny Wilson will form a centre back partnership.
At left back, Lee Wallace should retain his position, giving Rangers a formidable defence heading into the new season - and now Warburton can focus on other areas of the pitch.
