As seen above, Crystal Palace have wrapped up a deal to sign Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford on a season-long loan deal.
After tying up the signing of Yohan Cabaye from Crystal Palace, Eagles boss Alan Pardew has now strengthened his attacking options with the arrival of Bamford.
The 21-year-old, who won the Championship Player of the Year award for last season's displays, spent the campaign on loan at Middlesbrough, and played a starring role under Aitor Karanka.
With 19 goals in 43 games for Boro, Bamford demonstrated just why he is so highly-rated - but it wasn't enough to win him a place in the Chelsea first team.
Instead, Jose Mourinho has farmed the forward out on loan again, this time to Palace, who have been seeking a new striker this summer having seen Shola Ameobi and Yaya Sanogo depart this summer.
Palace fans have been reacting to the deal throughout the night on Twitter, with something of a mixed reaction. Many believe that Bamford's arrival is a great deal for Pardew, based on his record for Middlesbrough last season.
Yet others are somewhat underwhelmed by his arrival, believing that Palace need better than Bamford if they are to push up the table.
Here are some of the reactions from Palace fans after Bamford's arrival was confirmed...
I like the bamford deal, surely an upgrade on sanogo #cpfc— Paul Goswell (@Paul_Goswell) July 21, 2015
So Bamford it is then... Better than Murray, but we could've had better than Bamford.. #CPFC— Wheddsta (@Wheddsta) July 21, 2015
I'm quite chuffed about the bamford signing - a young exciting striker with bags of potential could be good for us #cpfc— Dave Jones (@palacefan) July 21, 2015
Underwhelmed with Bamford and hope we have another forward in our sights. But good luck and welcome to #cpfc.— Jason barber (@jasonbarber2009) July 21, 2015
