The 21-year-old will spend next season on loan in the Super Lig.
The Chelsea centre-back, who played four times for Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup, was said to be attracting interest from Celtic in a report from Africanfootball.com earlier this month. But despite the Bhoys alleged interest it is the Super Lig side that will benefit from the 21-year-old’s services next season.
Omeruo has previously spent time on loan at ADO Den Haag and Middlesbrough and when you consider Celtic recently saw loanee Jason Denayer head back to Manchester City, the Chelsea player would have given them another impressive option at the back, even with Dedryck Boyata’s arrival.
It was a mooted move that would have excited those Celtic fans who saw Omeruo impress for Nigeria against the likes of Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema in Brazil but instead he will spend the next year at Kasimpasa as he attempts to finally earn a first-team chance with Jose Mourinho’s side.
