Julian Dicks has praised Leeds United's 'volatile' atmosphere.
Former Premier League hardman Julian Dicks has talked up Leeds United's Elland Road as one of the stadiums he most looked forward to playing in.
Dicks was recently appointed as a first team coach at West Ham by ex-teammate and new boss Slaven Bilic, much to the delight of Hammers fans.
Asked about his favourite stadiums to play at apart from home ground Upton Park, former England under-21 international Dicks responded:
Great volatile atmosphere, and fans who clearly love there club https://t.co/gHJxbTwD8S— Julian Dicks (@JULIAN3DICKS) July 19, 2015
Dicks, now 46, played for West Ham for two spells, between 1988 and 1993, and 1994 and 1999, after a brief spell at Liverpool.
Leeds were regular opponents for the centre-back, going up against them notably in the club's title winning season in 1991/92.
He was the type of defender who would likely have got the Elland Road crowd on side had he been representing the club, with his uncompromising style ensuring he remains a fan favourite in East London.
