According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are set to tie up a deal to bring Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford to Selhurst Park on a season-long loan deal.
Bamford, 21, spent last season on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough, and his 17 league goals fired Boro to the play-off final - only to suffer defeat against Norwich City.
Now, the youngster is back at Stamford Bridge, but with the likes of Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy in contention up front, the Englishman could struggle for first team football.
Another loan move looks likely, with The Sun suggesting that Crystal Palace have all but wrapped up a deal for Bamford, which would see him pen a season-long loan deal at Selhurst Park.
The report also states that Bamford has rejected a similar move to Everton, preferring to move to Palace - which gives him a stay in London ahead of the new season.
Another key addition for Palace
After landing midfielder Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain, it's clear that manager Alan Pardew is pushing the boat out for new signings.
Bamford is now seemingly set to join the Eagles, providing additional firepower for Pardew - and a dangerous front three alongside Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha.
A Premier League loan is the next step for Bamford, and joining an ambitious team on the up like Palace could be ideal for his development next season.
