Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish promises more signings in coming days

Steve Parish has commented on Crystal Palace’s transfer plans.

Palace have already signed Yohan Cabaye this summer, and chairman Steve Parish has taken to Twitter to claim that more signings will be made by tomorrow.

Palace set off to South Africa for their pre-season tour of Cape Town, and Parish has confirmed that there will be a ‘couple more signings’ made in time to take the flight to the tour.

Parish has not referenced who it could be that is signing, but there are indications from recent reports that two players look close to moving to Selhurst Park.

The Daily Mail linked Palace with a move for QPR ‘keeper Alex McCarthy recently, and it is expected that they went back in for him after their initial bid was rejected last week.

A deal should not be too far away, McCarthy certainly seems to be one of the players close to signing for the club.

The other player who could be close to a move to South London is Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, with Sky Bet moving the Eagles to favourites for his signature. They are overwhelmingly ahead of other rivals in the race for his signature, and that suggests Bamford is not too far away from signing for Palace.

Palace have been slow with their transfer business this summer, but after the signing of Yohan Cabaye it showed that the Eagles mean business. And Parish has further whetted appetites by hinting at two more signings being completed by tomorrow.
