Swansea fans react to Bafetimbi Gomis' 'quality finish' versus 1860 Munich

Bafetimbi Gomis for St Etienne

Bafetimbi Gomis stole the plaudits for his winner in Swansea's 2-1 victory over 1860 Munich.

Bafetimbi Gomis scored a second-half winner as Swansea ended their pre-season tour of Germany with victory over 1860 Munich.

With the score level at one apiece, following goals from Jack Cork and Daniel Adlung, the former Lyon striker stepped up for the Garry Monk's youthful side.

Collecting the ball from a Jay Fulton pass, Gomis turned smartly on the edge of the area before firing home with aplomb. Goal, 2-1 Swansea.

Picking up from where he left off towards the end of last season, once again, the Frenchman displayed his fine finishing ability. Having scored five goals in the last six games of the campaign - to take his season tally to seven in total - he will be looking to hit the ground running next term.

Gomis faces considerable competition for regular game time this season, following the arrival of Andre Ayew and Eder, from Marseille and Braga, respectively.

However, if he can continue to impress throughout the club's warm-up campaign, he stands a fantastic chance of making the Swansea striking role his own.

As you would perhaps expect, the Welsh outfit's fans were full of praise on Twitter following Gomis' contribution.
