The Sky Sports pundit feels the Manchester United right-back bears a peculiar resemblance to him.

Gary Neville has joked that he is back at Manchester United - only in the form of summer signing Matteo Darmian.

Indeed, the Italian, who recently completed a £13 million (fee as reported by Sky Sports) move to Old Trafford, looks an awful lot like Neville both on and off the pitch.

And the former Manchester United full-back duly took to Twitter with the proof, joking that it is actually him turning out for Louis van Gaal's side - just with a bit of botox.

All joking aside, however, United fans will no doubt hope Darmian bears a big resemblance to Neville in how he plays. The former right-back's career at Old Trafford is unquestioned in terms of the success he achieved with the club and Neville has shown just how adept his football brain is during his career as a Sky Sports pundit since.

If Darmian is anything like the 40-year-old, then, Manchester United will not only be getting a quality right-back but one that can last years and years in the role. It would be a good way to put an end to the intertwining uses of Rafael, Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones there...
