In Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck, Arsene Wenger has a pool of attacking talent to rival any other club in England.
However, there is scope to bring in a player to rival Olivier Giroud for the centre-forward spot and many feel French International Benzema would be the ideal option for the role.

As per the table above, when comparing the duo, the Madrid ace certainly comes out favourably as he betters Giroud’s statistics from last season in as many as five key attacking areas.
Aside from scoring more goals and assists, Benzema is shown to be more prolific in his finishing, better creatively via chances created and more comfortable with the ball at his feet. Moreover, the 27-year-old is shown to link-up with his La Liga team-mates better via accurate passing, a trait Giroud excels in and one which is vastly overlooked by his critics.
The signs illustrate Benzema has that special quality and he’s certainly not short of backers with former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp among his fans.
“If Arsenal were to land Karim Benzema, then they’d be one player from being capable of launching a serious title challenge,” the former Spurs boss recently wrote in Kicca.
So should Arsenal plot a bid for Benzema? He has all the credentials and the money is seemingly there. However, he seems happy enough in Madrid and tempting him to move could prove rather tricky.
