The fringe forward will spend the 2015-16 campaign with the Amsterdam outfit.

Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo will spend the 2015-16 season on loan with Dutch club Ajax, the Eredivisie outfit have confirmed on their official website.

The French forward arrived in North London with a considerable reputation in 2013 but has failed to establish himself in Arsene Wenger’s squad.

As such, the 22-year-old spent time on loan at Crystal Palace last term and will continue his development under Ronald De Boer’s tutelage next season in Amsterdam.

Sanogo as played in 11 Premier League games for the Gunners since moving from Auxerre, but failed to score in any of the appearances.

He is behind the likes of Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

Sanogo has represented France from under-16 level through to under-21’s and has a venerable strike rate for his country.

Gunners fans will hope the 22-year-old can build confidence and score some goals during his stint in Holland, with view to bringing him back to North London as an improved player in a year’s time.
