The Spanish defender, who has been linked with a return to his homeland this summer, has insisted he is content in London.
The attack-minded left-back has been linked with a return to his homeland, with x stating recently that he was closing in on a switch to Athletic Bilbao.
Despite the speculation over his future, Monreal has moved quickly to assure the Emirates Stadium faithful that he is not seeking a move this summer.
Currently on a pre-season tour in Singapore, the 29-year-old eased Arsenal fans’ fears that he could leave North London ahead of the new campaign.
"I'm very happy at Arsenal,” the Spain international told Goal.
"Of course I enjoyed playing in a lot of the games last season and that is the target again - that is all I can say right now.
"When you play for Arsenal, you know they are one of the biggest clubs in England but, here in Singapore, you see they are also one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"The reception we get from the fans everywhere we go is amazing to see for the players and we are very happy to be here with them.”
Monreal has Kieran Gibbs for competition in the Arsenal side at left-back, but started 26 Premier League games last season for Arsene Wenger’s men - the most since signing from Malaga three years ago.
The versatile Gunner was even used as a central defender in the first part of the campaign to cover for injuries to others.
Arsenal will look to put forward a consistent title challenge next season, with a solid defence a pre-requisite - Monreal looks destined to be part of Wenger’s back four in the quest for honours.
