A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool…
The 23-year-old left-back has only been at Anfield for one season, making an impressive 41 appearances in the process. But the latest report claims Roma want to do business for around €12million although Liverpool are said to want closer to €15million.
That equates to around £8.3million if Roma end up paying their intended price.
Borini’s future seems to be away from Anfield given the recent arrivals of Danny Ings and Roberto Firmino and considering the Italian managed to score just one goal in 18 appearances last season.
In comments published by Football Italia, Marco De Marchi said of the Liverpool player’s future, “It’s a delicate situation. Out of respect for Liverpool, and the interested teams, I’d prefer not to mention names.”
At just 24 Borini could represent another club good value for money and with a contract until the summer of 2017 it may take a relatively large sum to convince Liverpool to do business.
