It was only a pre-season friendly - but Everton supporters are far from happy with the striker.
There's been a lot going on at Everton lately. Roberto Martinez has sounded firm warnings over the futures of John Stones and James McCarthy, while a big season lies ahead if the Toffees are to return to their former heights under the Spaniard in the Premier League.
The Barclays Asia Trophy has also provided plenty of intrigue and entertainment on Merseyside, although Everton couldn't come away with the pre-season title on Saturday afternoon, as Arsenal beat Martinez's men 3-1.
While Ross Barkley scored and plenty will have been watching out for Stones and McCarthy, though, Everton fans were particularly drawn to someone else on Twitter.
Indeed, Arouna Kone's poor performance didn't go unnoticed - despite the fact this was only a friendly game. The issue for many Everton supporters, it seems, is that Kone has underwhelmed for two whole seasons, not just during pre-season...
The 31-year-old has struggled with injuries since moving to Goodison Park, of course, but fans seemed particularly unforgiving on social media - and feel Martinez should sign another forward as soon as he can. Here's a selection of the Kone reaction, of which there was plenty:
I can't stop laughing at the level of fume my Dad is displaying towards Kone right now. #EFC— Leah (@Leah_Corner) July 18, 2015
