Confirmed: Tottenham XI starting line-up to play Peterborough

Here he is how Tottenham Hotspur will line up for this afternoon’s match against Peterborough United:

Tottenham starting XI: Glover, Walkes, Ogilvie, Lesniak, Ball, Hall, McEvoy, Miller, Sterling, Goddard, Sonupe

Tottenham subs: Sheldrick, Paul, Veljkovic, Maghoma, Amos, Azzouai, Harrison

Tottenham Hotspur only have three first-team pre-season friendlies scheduled this summer, with matches against MLS All-Stars, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all taking place in the next few weeks.

But that does not mean Spurs fans have to wait until 30 July to see some of the club’s players in action.

This afternoon’s match sees a Tottenham XI come up against the League One side a week on from the latter’s 3-3 draw with West Ham United.

That was a strong Hammers side and it means Tottenham’s youngsters are not going to have an easy time of it later today.

Under-21 coach Ugo Ehiogu will be in charge for this clash as he seeks to give some of the club’s youngsters another chance to impress.

Tottenham have some of the most promising teenagers in the game and some of them are likely to get first-team chances next season.

A fine performance today and manager Mauricio Pochettino will have another reason to sit up and take notice.
