LA Galaxy

Steven Gerrard loves AMURICA that's for sure!

Steven Gerrard made his Major League Soccer debut for La Galaxy last night as Bruce Arena's side came away 5-2 winners against their California rivals, San Jose Earthquakes.

After a pretty average bow against Club America last week, Gerrard decided to embrace his new American brothers, dusted down a hotdog and kicked some 'butt'.

The former Liverpool man saw his new side concede twice after just 25 minutes, until Robbie Keane equalised on the half-hour mark. And Gerrard got in on the action just seven minutes later, scoring his first goal in AMURICA, cue scenes of bald eagles, assault rifles and burgers.

Gerrard's goal - wasn't a bad finish!

The celebration wasn't bad either!

After Gerrard's goal, some of that Anfield Magic he's brought with him from Liverpool seemed to rub off on those around him as Bruce Arena's side stuffed another three goals past San Jose.

Captain AMURICA popped up again to assist Robbie Keane's second of the night, with a lovely whipped free-kick into the box.

While winning on his debut and making himself already loved by Galaxy fans, Gerrard didn't forget about his roots and showed off a lovely pair of Liverpool shin pads!

Gerrard still loves Liverpool
