Arsenal and Liverpool to swoop for free agent Yoann Gourcuff - report

The midfielder’s move to Bordeaux has fallen through and as such he could be heading to the Premier League.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all weighing up a move for free agent Yoann Gourcuff, according to talkSPORT.

The report instigates that the ex-Lyon midfielder, who left the Stade de Gerland earlier this summer, was set to pen a deal with his former club Bordeaux - but this deal has now fallen through.

As such, this leaves the 29-year-old midfielder available on a free transfer, with talkSPORT claiming the English trio are weighing up a move for him.

The technically gifted playmaker has been linked with a move to England consistently in the past but has played his entire career in France apart from an underwhelming two-year stint with AC Milan.

Capped by his country 31 times, the attacking midfielder has just ended a five-year spell with Lyon and at his age will be looking for one last big move before he enters his 30’s.

Gourcuff is renowned for his technical skills, range of passing and ability to unlock opposition defences and as such could be a shrewd capture on a free transfer this summer.
