Spurs fans mock Kyle Walker on Twitter after he thanks Younes Kaboul for all the 'advice'

Some of the Tottenham Hotspur faithful were simply amused by the defender's goodbye message to the new Sunderland signing.

Tottenham fans couldn't help but mock Kyle Walker on Twitter after he thanked Younes Kaboul for all his help and advice over the years ahead of the Frenchman's move to Sunderland.

Indeed, the centre-back was confirmed as Sunderland's new signing on Thursday night, with the 29-year-old putting an end to five years at White Hart Lane.

In response, Walker and midfielder Nabil Bentaleb messaged Kaboul on social media to wish him all the best and thank him for his guidance at Spurs over the years.

However... Tottenham supporters were intrigued by Walker's message in particular.

Indeed, the 24-year-old has hardly been in the best of form recently, struggling badly at several points last season. And fans joked in reply to the right-back that any 'advice' he got from Kaboul is exactly where he went wrong.

The Frenchman himself suffered a disastrous loss of form at Spurs and will no doubt hope for better at Sunderland.

But, now that Kaboul is gone, maybe the excuses are up for Walker - and the right-back can finally return to the form he once showed in north London...
