Sandro update: Brazilian set for Queens Park Rangers stay after visa issues resolved

Work permit issues had threatened his QPR future, but developments have meant a West London stay is now on the cards.

Former Tottenham Hotspur star Sandro now looks set to remain at Queens Park Rangers after the club released an update on his situation, via their official website.

The R’s state that their sponsorship licence has now been reinstated, which will allow Sandro to re-apply for a work permit once given clearance by the authorities.

The news will come as a major relief to QPR fans after a loan move to Santos had been mooted, by GloboEsporte.

Barring any unforeseen complications, the combative midfielder should line up for QPR next season, as they attempt to bounce straight back to the Premier League following last year’s relegation.

Sandro’s presence in the side is a real boost to those chances and the 26-year old has all the tools required to be a dominant force in England’s second tier next season.

As ever with the Brazilian, fitness is the key issue and he was only able to appear 18 times for the R's last season.

Should he stay fit and on form, however, QPR's prospects of a speedy return to the top-flight will begin to look a whole lot brighter.
