Arsene Wenger has been shrewd in the transfer market so far this summer, with a good move for Petr Cech already secure and the resources in place if the boss feels he needs to improve his squad further.
“Arsenal are a very attractive club for people. Living in London appeals enormously. It's a wonderful set up at Arsenal, with the ground and the players that you'd be lining up with,” he told premierleague.com.
“They're in the box seat in terms of attracting players and Arsene Wenger lets them express themselves. Particularly for forward players, he would be a dream to play under.”
Arsenal as a club and location
In terms of silverware chances, Arsenal have a great chance of being successful on multiple fronts over the next ten to eleven months.
They will always benefit from being a London based club, but it’s vital the club are consistent and impressive at the start of the season, because that could sway the decision of potential targets late into the transfer window.
Wenger has always had a very good track record in terms of the way he coaches players and gets the very best out of them.
The best example is Thierry Henry, who he helped to turn into one of the best strikers in the history of the Premier League and arguably the best forward to have ever represented the club.
His experience is vast and he’s definitely someone that any new player can buy into.
