Victor Valdes is not happy.
The Manchester United goalkeeper is heading for the exit after being left out of the club's tour squad, and manager Louis van Gaal has not held back in his explanation.
As reported by The BBC, Van Gaal told a press conference Valdes is for sale after refusing to play for the under-21 team last season.
Valdes is understandably frustrated, and took to Twitter the following morning to contest the Dutchman's comments, asking for more respect.
Valdes was point out he did play for the under-21s last season, working with the club's youngsters as he returned to fitness.
Van Gaal may point out it was not the games he did play however, but one he did not. It is at this stage unclear which match Valdes is alleged to have missed, and the full circumstances behind it.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper is expected to be sold now, and while under another boss there could be room for reconciliation, Van Gaal is such a strong personality it is tough to see him going back on his word.
