The Queens Park Rangers chairman is feeling positive - although it's not the first time...
The Alan McDonald plane. I'm really looking forward the season. Lots of change but good work being done pic.twitter.com/hTcJmdf7SE— Tony Fernandes (@tonyfernandes) July 16, 2015
That, too, has now been forgotten following another Premier League relegation.
And yet the atmosphere at Loftus Road is a positive one at the moment. Stable recruitment both on and off the pitch seems to have given QPR a much-needed boost ahead of next season.
Chairman Tony Fernandes certainly thinks so.
We are firm and resolute in what we are doing at QPR. Good team now. Good CEO , director of football ,manager ,co chairman.— Tony Fernandes (@tonyfernandes) July 16, 2015
The only issue here is that Fernandes has perhaps done himself a discredit in the past by tweeting/expressing similar opinions when things were going wrong.
On this occasion, it does look as though QPR are indeed being firm and resolute and going in the right direction.
However, while Harry Redknapp was in charge and, importantly, throughout QPR's tenure in the relegation zone, Fernandes was saying the same things over and over again and maintaining his positivity.
It would be a shame for him to simply be making happy noises without basis once again this summer. It does, however, look as the R's are certainly making changes for the better ahead of next term.
