Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side were comfortable winners last year, as they lead the table from the beginning to end.
Their eventual triumph was made all the easier by the lack of competition, with Manchester City falling away, Liverpool disappointing despite being close the year before and Arsenal and Manchester United struggling early on.
Henry, though, says next season will be different, with several teams now capable of challenging the champions.
“I expect everyone is going to challenge them [Chelsea], everyone is going to try to make sure they can win the title,” he told Sky Sports.
"City cannot have the same season again, Arsenal cannot stay another year without winning the league, United won’t accept not winning the league two years in a row - that does not go down too well over there. What about Liverpool? So I expect everyone to challenge them.”
Another surprise package next season
The former France international forward is also anticipating that another surprise package will emerge in the Premier League next season.
Liverpool were that team in 2013/14, as Luis Suarez nearly inspired them to the title before their late stumble, while Southampton surprised everyone last season with their continued push for a top-four finish before tailing off.
Despite expecting another team to cause that kind of stir again next season, Henry does not envisage an outsider breaking up the established top four contenders.
“Who would have said Liverpool a year ago would have nearly won the league? No one saw that coming,” he added.
“So you always have a surprise and you don’t know when that is going to happen and maybe it is going to be a team that is going to surprise the other teams next season. But you would like to think it will be the same kind of top four.”
