Leeds United striker Souleymane Doukara scored in the club's 3-0 win, but could have made it more.
Leeds United played two friendly matches at the same time last night, with different XIs taking on York City and Tadcaster Albion.
Fans attempting to keep up with the goings on were treated to entertaining updates from Tadcaster's official Twitter account, who relayed commentary from Leeds' 3-0 win.
Souleymane Doukara scored the third goal in he victory, but his late attempt to add another ended in comical fashion, aptly described by the Tadaester feed.
Some nice play from @LUFC as a stray ball rolls to Doukara on the edge of the area who side foots way over into someone's back garden, 0-3— Tadcaster Albion (@TadcasterAlbion) July 15, 2015
Fortunately Doukara had already scored one, adding to goals from Mirco Antenucci and Billy Sharp, so hitting his shot out of Tadcaster's stadium had no bearing on the end result.
The home side welcomed a crowd of 1,011 spectators, their second highest ever.
There were more amusing updates which came through the course of the pre-season contest.
Laughs all round here as a young kid catches a ball that goes out of play, he holds it bewilderingly then sneaks through a gate and escapes— Tadcaster Albion (@TadcasterAlbion) July 15, 2015
A ball has been launched back onto the field and hit Casper Sloth on the head. Amuses all— Tadcaster Albion (@TadcasterAlbion) July 15, 2015
The game was in many ways what pre-season matches should be about, a great atmosphere, a chance to give young players a run out, and support non-league sides.
From a Leeds perspective a 3-0 win with three different goalscorers was icing on the cake.
