The French fullback looks set to leave the club after just one season.
It is being reported that Aston Villa's French fullback Aly Cissokho is a target for Serie A side Fiorentina, after being told he has no future at the club by Tim Sherwood, according to Italian website Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 27-year-old only joined Villa last season from Valencia, after he spent the previous campaign on loan at Liverpool, and Cissokho went on to make 27 appearances for the Lions. However, the majority of those appearances came in the first half of the season, and once Sherwood took it over the Frenchman found it hard to get near the match day squad, after picking up a groin strain at the end of February. The closest he got to game time after that was a solitary appearance on the bench for the match against Manchester City, but even in that he failed to make it on to the pitch.
Gianluca Di Marzio say that the move could be a loan with the option for a permanent deal.
If Cissokho moves to Italy it will be the fifth country he has played in after spells in France, Portugal, Spain and the UK, and will see him finally featuring in Serie A after a move to Milan fell through in 2009.
