The Liverpool playmaker is barely being mentioned by fans and pundits ahead of the new season.
There's been plenty of noise from Liverpool Football Club surrounding Adam Lallana recently. The 27-year-old has been promoted via press conferences and entertaining videos on the club's Faceook and Twitter feeds.
It's almost as if Liverpool are trying to remind people Lallana is still there.
For the playmaker's first-team prospects remain rather quiet. When fans and pundits alike are discussing potential Reds XIs next season, they are salivating at the prospect of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings, Divock Origi and more in behind Liverpool's main striker (whoever that may be). Very few are mentioning Lallana.
But, even when there were far fewer options to compete with, Lallana was continually overlooked last season. That had a lot to do with his fitness but it had just as much to do with Brendan Rodgers' indecision.
The 27-year-old is a quiet, reserved character. He needs to make some noise, though, because once the fanfare surrounding the Premier League debuts of the likes of Firmino and Origi takes off, Lallana may find it very difficult to stop his Liverpool career from quietly fading away.
