Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio set for talks on back of West Brom bid

HITC Sport understands Nottingham Forest star Michail Antonio is set for talks over his future after West Brom saw a bid rejected for his services.

HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Michail Antonio is to hold talks with the club over his future after West Bromwich Albion had a bid rejected for him.

West Brom are keen on signing on Antonio this summer and are understood to have tabled a bid in the region of £4million for the winger this week, which was immediately turned down by Forest.

West Brom have held a long-term interest in Antonio, having seen a move for the 25-year-old rejected by Forest in the January transfer window.

It is understood that Premier League new boys Bournemouth are also keen on signing on Antonio, but Forest are reluctant to lose their star player, with the club unable to replace him because of their transfer embargo for breaking Financial Fair Play rules.

Antonio was an instant success at Forest last season after joining from Sheffield Wednesday, starting every Championship game and scoring 15 goals.

The powerful wide-man is now hoping to discover Forest's stance on the interest in his services and find out where his future lies.
