The club have already been busy this summer, bringing in Dimitri Payet, Martin Samuelsen, Angelo Ogbonna and Pedro Obiang along with Carl Jenkinson on loan. But despite those five arrivals Bilic has confirmed the club are working hard on adding even more depth to his squad.
“We are trying to be active in the transfer window and the board have been active,” the West Ham boss said. “We are still trying to improve our squad.”
That is great news for supporters hoping the club bid farewell to Upton Park in impressive style, and when you consider the quality of player West Ham have already signed next season could be huge for Bilic and his team.
West Ham started last season brilliantly before tailing off but if they can add another couple of players there is no telling how high they could finish.
Payet is a particularly impressive addition, while youngster Samuelsen may be one for the future but he has already shown glimpses of what he can do.
A new striker is likely to be on the agenda for West Ham along with a new central midfielder, and after completing the majority of their business swiftly and effectively, they have time to finish the job without the need to panic.
