Leeds United reportedly enquire about Togo international Floyd Ayite

Leeds United have been linked with another potential new winger.

According to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have enquired about Bastia winger Floyd Ayite as they continue their search for a new wide player.

The 26-year-old left winger has represented Togo on 17 occasions and he turned out 33 times for Bastia last season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in the process.

The YEP claims Leeds are keen to add an out-and-out winger to their squad ahead of the new campaign and that Ayite is the latest potential target, following links to Brazilian Raphael Martinho 24 hours earlier.

Ayite started his professional career at Bordeaux but he only made eight senior appearances before moving on. Loan spells at Angers and Nancy were followed by a permanent move to Stade Reims, where the alleged Leeds target racked up 77 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists.

He only signed for Bastia last summer but after an impressive debut campaign it is being reported that Leeds have expressed an interest in bringing him to Elland Road.

Leeds have impressed this summer, bringing in a number of quality additions and making Sol Bamba’s loan move a permanent affair.

But with two wingers linked in two days, it seems this could be the latest – and perhaps the last – set of rumours circulating before the club kick off their new Championship campaign next month.
