Former West Ham attacker, recently linked to QPR, has got off to a superb start in Italy.
It may only be pre-season, but Morrison has netted four goals in his opening two games and is drawing attention from the Italian press.
The attacking midfielder was released from his West Ham contract earlier this year and signed with Lazio earlier this month.
The Mail had reported just weeks ago that QPR were attempting to free Morrison from his agreement, but it was always the England under-21 international's intention to sign with the Italian side.
It is only pre-season, but as far as the former Manchester United academy star is concerned: so far, so good.
Morrison's performance yesterday drew wide acclaim. Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport described the 9-1 win over Cadore as 'another Morrison show'.
Sportal.it reported 'Morrison has already taken Lazio', stating that he 'continues to be a leader in the early stages of pre-season.'
Corrierre dello Sport also led with Morrison's impact, wrote: "The Englishman, who started again right midfielder, has confirmed the technical skills are natural, and (he has) the propensity to be a director, the ball carrier."
It is only pre-season, and Morrison has shown flashes of promise early in his career only to fade, but the early signs are promising that the exciting talent may yet have found surroundings in which he can flourish and live up to his potential.
