David Moyes gets two new Real Sociedad signings in one day

Real Sociedad Anoeta

Bruma joins from Galatasaray, whilst Diego Reyes heads to Real Sociedad from Portuguese giants FC Porto.

There has been a need for patience at Real Sociedad and for David Moyes, as he tries to shape his team for the 2015-16 season in La Liga, with planned moves either leading to a dead end, such as Danny Ings choosing Liverpool instead, or requiring more time to close, such as the wait for Arsenal winger Joel Campbell.

Now at last, Real Sociedad have announced not one, but two signings on the same day, which will greatly please Moyes and of course, the fans, who have also been waiting to see which players the Scotsman will incorporate in his plans.

On Wednesday, the first announcement from the Basque club was the arrival of 20-year-old winger Bruma, who joins on a loan for the season from Turkish giants Galatasaray. He will be officially presented to the media on Wednesday.

The talented Portuguese youngster has represented his country at all junior levels, but having struggled to make an impact with Galatasaray, the hope from La Real is they can get the best out of him in La Liga. His loan doesn't include an option to buy clause.

The second announcement from Anoeta confirmed a deal with FC Porto, which sees the capture of towering defender Diego Reyes. His deal is initially a season on loan, although Real Sociedad have reserved the option of a permanent move for the 22-year-old, if they take it before 30th June 2016.

Reyes is currently on action with the Mexican national team at the Gold Cup, so his arrival will be delayed until participation at the international tournament is concluded.

Certainly, with both signings Moyes has shown he's happy to offer opportunities to young players with much potential to offer. Whilst that comes with a certain element of risk, he's also demonstrated the same willingness already, with players from the club's own youth system.

Moyes will undoubtedly be pleased to have finally landed Bruma and Reyes, whilst there appears to be some waiting still to do, before any final decision is received from Arsenal and Joel Campbell, with whom there have been continuous negotiations.

The former Everton and Manchester United boss is aiming to get Real Sociedad back amongst the European positions in La Liga, but given the frustrations encountered so far in the transfer market, a few more strong additions to the squad must be made, if those ambitions are to be realised.
