Former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has joined Crystal Palace from Paris Saint-Germain.

Crystal Palace completed the signing of Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain last week.

The France international midfielder joined Palace from French club PSG on a three-year contract.

According to BBC Sport, the Eagles had to pay the Ligue 1 champions a club-record transfer fee of £10 million.

At Selhurst Park, Cabaye will work with someone he knows very well from his time in England: manager Alan Pardew.

The former Lille star worked with Pardew during his time at Newcastle United and developed a very good understanding with the Englishman.

The 29-year-old was one of the better midfielders in the Premier League when he was at Newcastle, and the Palace fans will hope that he recovers his form and starts his tenure at Selhurst Park with a bang.
