Arsenal are preparing for the first of their pre-season fixtures.
Arsenal’s players have been photographed being put through their paces during a public training session as part of their pre-season tour in Asia.
The Gunners will play two matches in the Barclays Asia Trophy this summer, the first of which will be against a Singapore Select XI on Wednesday followed by a game against either Everton or Stoke City in the final or the third/four-place play-off.
After that it is back to England as Arsenal host the annual Emirates Cup with games against Lyon and Wolfsburg before the Community Shield against Premier League champions Chelsea.
By then Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will hope his players are match-fit and ready for the challenges ahead, with recent signing Petr Cech well used to his new back-line.
For now the former Chelsea goalkeeper is the only new addition at the club but considering how some of the other sides have strengthened this summer, Wenger may need to dip into the transfer market again before the window slams shut until January.
Above and below you can see a selection of images from Arsenal’s open training, with Cech getting to know his new teammates.
