The Everton players' squad numbers for next season have been announced.
Everton have confirmed their squad numbers for the new campaign in a post on their official website.
The majority of players have kept the numbers they wore last season; however the emergence of John Stones in the last 12 months is clear as the centre-back switches from number 26 to number five.
Stones featured 28 times for Everton last season and he is now a vital part of manager Roberto Martinez’s side.
Everton had a mixed campaign last season, initially struggling before pulling clear of the bottom few clubs as the Premier League came to a close and ultimately finishing comfortably in 11th.
Martinez will no doubt be hoping for considerably better than that when the new campaign kicks off and if he can bring in a few more quality reinforcements there is no reason why Everton cannot push on.
Cleverley and Deulofeu will both be key, while Conor McAleny – who will wear the number 35 next season – will be hoping to bring his impressive pre-season form to the field when it really matters.
