Danny Higginbotham and Charlie Adam’s verdict on Yohan Cabaye signing

Former Newcastle United midfielder Cabaye’s move to Crystal Palace has got ex-Manchester United defender Higginbotham and Stoke City star Adam talking.

Former Manchester United and Sunderland defender Danny Higginbotham has taken to social networking site Twitter to hail the signing of Yohan Cabaye by Crystal Palace.

The France international midfielder joined Palace from French club Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year contract last week.

According to BBC Sport, the Eagles had to pay Ligue 1 champions PSG a club-record transfer fee of £10 million.

The 29-year-old was one of the better midfielders in the Premier League during his time with Newcastle United, and the Palace fans will hope that he recovers his form and starts his tenure at Selhurst Park with a bang.

Higginbotham, who also played for Derby County and Southampton, believes that Cabaye will be a success at Palace and has given his verdict on the signing on Twitter:

Former Palace forward Mark Bright and Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam have also backed Cabaye to shine at Palace.
