United have signed Germany international midfielder Schweinsteiger from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, while France international midfielder Schneiderlin has moved from Premier League rivals Southampton.
Clarke believes that both signings are good and has posted the following message on Twitter:
Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger will definitely beef up Man United’s midfield. Add in Carrick and that’s a solid threesome. Good signings— Adrian Clarke (@adrianjclarke) July 13, 2015
Schweinsteiger has suffered with injury problems of late, but he remains a world-class midfielder when fit.
The 2014 World Cup winner has worked with Louis van Gaal before, which means that the United boss knows what to expect from him.
An all-round midfielder, the 2013 Champions League winner will be a force to be reckoned with for United.
Schneiderlin is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is going to enhance the quality of the current United squad.
The France international made 253 appearances and scored 15 times for Southampton since his debut in 2008.
The former Strasbourg star scored four goals and created 20 chances in 26 Premier League appearances for the Saints last season.
Schneiderlin had a pass accuracy of 89% and a shot accuracy of 43%, and won 43 headers, 16 dribbles and 79 tackles.
