One of Leeds United's summer signings is more than just a goal-scorer, he also works extremely hard.
Leeds United have made some very impressive summer signings to date, but while the more familiar names of Sol Bamba and Chris Wood have arrived it is young forward Lee Erwin who really caught the eye in last week’s friendly clash with Harrogate.
The match may have ended 1-1 – with substitute Steve Morison netting for Leeds – but Erwin looked busy and effective throughout his 45-minute appearance.
The 21-year-old signed a three-year deal back in June, leaving a Motherwell side for which he scored six goals and provided eight assists in 39 appearances.
Erwin really caught the eye in the final few matches of last season, scoring four goals in the last seven league games and netting once and setting up two in the play-off against Rangers.
Erwin’s work ethic is brilliant and in the clip above he shows the kind of tenacity and ball control that will make him a handful for Championship defences next season and beyond.
Wood may be the more natural goal-scorer, but in Erwin the New Zealand international may have found the perfect partner.
