Report: Paris Saint-Germain interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Benjamin Stambouli

Paris Saint-Germain and Watford are reportedly interested in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Benjamin Stambouli.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Benjamin Stambouli from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to The Watford Observer.

It has been reported by the British newspaper that the French giants have made a late move for the midfielder, who was allegedly on the verge of joining SpursPremier League rivals Watford.

According to The Watford Observer, Stambouli is keen on returning to his native France, although Watford are still hopeful of securing the services of the 24-year-old defensive midfielder.

Watford or Paris Saint-Germain?

PSG are one of the biggest clubs in the world and will play in the Champions League next season.

In fact, the Ligue 1 champions will be aiming to win Europe’s most prestigious club competition during the 2015-16 campaign.

Leaving Spurs for PSG will be a step-up for Stambouli, who struggled for playing time at White Hart Lane during the 2014-15 season after joining from Montpellier last summer.

However, at Watford the Frenchman will get more playing time, and that is something that he should be looking for after a disappointing 2014-15 Premier League campaign on a personal level.
