Report: Las Palmas interested in Celtic’s Stefan Scepovic

Celtic striker Stefan Scepovic has been linked with a move to La Liga outfit Las Palmas.

Las Palmas are interested in signing Stefan Scepovic from Celtic this summer, according to Gran Canaria TV.

It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that the newly-promoted La Liga outfit are looking for players to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.

However, Paco Herrera’s side will not be able to spend too much money on signings, according to Gran Canaria TV.

Stefan Scepovic’s struggles in Scotland

Scepovic joined Scottish giants Celtic from Spanish club Sporting Gijon in the summer of 2014.

The 25-year-old striker signed a four-year contract and cost £2.3 million in transfer fee, as reported by BBC Sport at the time.

The Serbia international arrived in Scotland with a strong reputation, having scored 22 goals in the Spanish second tier in the 2013-14 campaign.

The former Partizan star, though, failed to take the Scottish Premiership by storm and did not have a great season on a personal level.

Scepovic could score just four goals in 18 league appearances for champions Celtic.
