Report: Jason Holt training with Rangers today

Former Heart of Midlothian midfielder Jason Holt is training with Scottish Championship outfit Glasgow Rangers today.

Jason Holt is training with Rangers today with a view to moving to the Scottish Championship outfit, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that the 22-year-old, who left Heart of Midlothian at the end of the 2014-15 season, has been training with the Rangers squad at Murray Park this morning.

The Gers will have to pay compensation to Hearts if they sign Holt, according to The Scottish Sun, but it has been claimed that the newly-promoted Scottish Premiership outfit will not play hardball.

Good signing for Rangers?

Holt struggled at Hearts during the 2014-15 campaign and was sent out on loan to English League One outfit Sheffield United in the January transfer window.

The young Scot was impressive for United, scoring five goals in nine games for the Blades.

Holt would be a good signing for Rangers, as he knows the Scottish Championship and has potential.
