Everton are maintaining their interest in signing Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan this summer, according to Kicker.
According to the German publication, Inter want €16 million (£11.4m) as transfer fee for the services of the Switzerland international winger.
German club Schalke want to recruit the former Bayern Munich star, but they are unable to match the Nerazzurri’s demands.
For Schalke to sign Shaqiri, they may have to sell Jefferson Farfan to get the funds, but that is not possible at this moment in time as the Peru international winger is on holiday.
According to a recent report in Calciomercato.com, Inter Milan were interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela and were considering including Shaqiri in the deal.
