HITC Sport understands Leeds United midfielder Luke Murphy has agreed a new long-term deal to keep him at Elland Road.
HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Leeds United have tied down key midfielder Luke Murphy to a new four-year deal.
Classy midfielder Murphy has established himself as vital cog in the Leeds side since joining from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2013.
The 25-year-old, who came through the ranks at Crewe, joined Leeds for a fee in excess of £1million and he has made 72 appearances and scored six goals in his first two seasons at the club.
Murphy's previous deal was due to expire next summer, but the club have moved to secure the skilful midfielder on a new deal with the player happy to commit his future to the Yorkshire outfit.
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is thought to be a big fan of Murphy and had made a new deal for the player one of his top priorities this summer.
News of his new deal will come as a major boost for Leeds and Uwe Rosler and it will provide Murphy with a lift as he will miss the start of the new season with a knee injury.
