Former Southampton loan star Toby Alderweireld has finally linked up with his Tottenham teammates, following his move to White Hart Lane last week.
The Belgian international defender has been undergoing gym work at his new club, and is set to start training with the full senior squad later this week.
Alderweireld became the latest Spurs summer signing when he agreed a move to the club last week. Along with Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Tripper, the Lilywhites have been strengthening from the back, and it could now be suggested that their defensive reinforcements are completed.
There is still work to be done on their squad, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino has a long summer ahead of him if he intends to build a squad truly capable of challenging for the top four.
Yet, he must be praised for the work he has already completed in the transfer window, with Alderweireld the kind of marquee signing who not only signals a statement of intent, but also improves their squad incredibly.
Now that he has linked up with his new team, and is starting to turn out in training, fans can start getting excited to see the 26-year-old show off his impressive talents at White Hart Lane this coming season.
