Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal sees new signing Morgan Schneiderlin as a perfect fit for the Red Devils.
A deal to sign Schneiderlin from Southampton was finalised on Monday, as confirmed by the club's official website, after the Frenchman completed a medical on Sunday night.
The central midfielder immediately flew out on the club's pre-season tour to the US, but not before he was photographed officially in the club kit he will wear next season.
Schneiderlin won praise from his new manager, with Van Gaal also speaking of his delight at getting the deal over the lin in time for tour.
He told the club's official website: "Morgan is a very talented player with great energy and ability.
"His skills will complement the players that we already have and I am very pleased that we have been able to complete this deal before the tour to the United States.
"That training camp will be very important in our preparations for the new season and gives Morgan and the other players a chance to show our fans what they can achieve together."
United are in a far better place than they were a year ago, when Van Gaal was just jetting in to Manchester to take over at the club after leading Holland into the World Cup quarter-finals.
The Red Devils have already bought Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger in addition to Schneiderlin, and having sold Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce, are expected to go back into the market to sign a new striker too.
