Former Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso is attempting to relaunch his career in Holland.
Voetball International report Delfouneso is on trial with Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles.
The striker will join the club's training camp today (Tuesday) until Saturday as he aims to impress enough to win a permanent contract.
Delfouneso was once regarded as one of Aston Villa's brightest youth prospects, making his debut for the club at 17, he was expected to follow Gabby Agbonlahor by going onto become a regular.
He only scored nine goals for the club and was sent out on loan deals to Brighton and Leicester without any real success.
After being released a year ago he signed a 12-month contract with Blackpool, another side where he previously had a loan spell, but struggled for the relegated side, netting only three times.
Still only 24, Delfouneso is a former England international and most recently represented them in 2013 when still eligible, but his career is in need of a fresh start.
He should be commended for being prepared to look outside England, and could potentially become a hero by firing the recently relegated Go Ahead Eagles back into the Eredivisie.
First of all he must do enough over the next week to earn himself a deal.
