New Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has taken to Twitter to express his pleasure at signing for the club.
The Italian international was unveiled over the weekend, after clinching his £12.9 million transfer from Serie A side Torino.
The right-back is clearly delighted to have made the move, and signalled his intent to make the most of the opportunity of a lifetime.
Honored and excited to be here. Ready to work hard https://t.co/PRt66i9zlI— Matteo Darmian (@DarmianOfficial) July 12, 2015
Darmian will have to see off competition from Rafael da Silva to make the right-back spot his own, but has the inside track having been hand picked by new boss Louis van Gaal.
He is just one of three key players signed in recent days, with Bastian Schweinsteiger set to be announced, and The BBC reporting last night that Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin was undergoing a medical and was set to sign.
It is not just Darmian who is excited to see action, as with the splurge of signings, added to the capture of PSV sensation Memphis Depay, Manchester United are already looking like title challengers next season, if they can add a prolific striker to replace Robin van Persie.
